Fourteenth at Toccoa
Doug Smith Motorsports visited another track for the first time over the weekend as we traveled to Toccoa Speedway for a $5,000 to win Southern All Stars event. Doug started on the tail of the field but was able to run competitively and pick off several positions early in the race. After battling for positions all race long we were credited with 14th and look forward to going back to Toccoa later in the season. Up next is another road trip and first time visit to the 3/8 mile Clayhill Speedway in Atwood, TN for a $7,500 to win Southern All Stars event. Thanks for visiting us on the web and we'll see you at the races!

A Game of Survival at Lavonia
Doug Smith Motorsports survived a rough night at Lavonia Speedway to claim a 13th place finish in the Southern All Stars feature event. We were just glad to bring the car home in one piece after extremely rough track conditions meant most drivers had to focus on just getting around the track instead of actually racing against each other. Next week we head to Toccoa Speedway for another $5,000 SAS event.

SAS Double Header
Doug Smith Motorsports kicked off the season with a pair of Southern All Stars races at Boyd's Speedway and Cleveland Speedway. With not many races going on across the county these two events saw some of the top drivers in the sport making their way into the area. With a big field of  forty cars on hand  Friday at Boyd's we got into the feature and were credited with a 20th place finish. Another big field of cars were on hand at Cleveland the next night for the $10,000 prize but unfortunately we couldn't advance into the main event. We look forward to better success in our next event at Lavonia Speedway on April 3rd as we continue to follow the Southern All Stars tour. A few images were added to the 2010 photo gallery.

New Look for 2010
Outlaw Graphics of Crossville, TN got our wrap put on the car today. They did a fine job and we look forward to competing with the Southern All Stars this weekend at Boyd's & Cleveland.

Plans For This Season
Doug Smith Motorsports would like to announce our tentative plans to compete with the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series in 2010. We look forward to traveling to new tracks and competing with the longest running dirt late model series in the country.
