– Runner-up in Late Model Track Championship at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY.
– Doug Smith Motorsports traveled outside of it's home state on many occasions and finished 5th in Northern All-Star series points while finishing runner up in the rookie of the year standings.
- We again returned to the Northern All-Star circuit and advanced our overall points finish to 4th in the final standings while being named Most Improved Driver.
- Joined the O’Reilly Auto Parts Battle of the Bluegrass Series and claimed Rookie of the Year honors while finishing 4th in the final point standings.
- Doug Smith Motorsports returned to the O’Reilly Auto Parts Battle of the Bluegrass Series to compete in the full schedule. After a season of many ups and downs we were able to secure a 10th place finish in the final standings of what is known by many as “the nation’s most competitive regional touring series”.
Goals for 2008 - Due to the ever increasing costs that are on every racer's mind at the moment, Doug Smith Motorsports has opted not to chase points on a traveling series this season. Instead our focus is on running competitivly in the big events that are so plentiful at tracks around Central Kentucky and East Tennessee.
